Emergency First Response (EFR) is a specialized organization that provides a range of progressive training programs in the area of first aid and CPR . As an EFR Instructor you’ll be qualified to teach the following programs that have been designed specifically for the layperson:
- EFR Primary Care (CPR)
- EFR Secondary Care (first aid)
- EFR Care for Children
- EFR CPR & AED
All EFR Courses have the option to incorporate the usage of an AED. Defibrillation is a vital link in the chain of survival for someone who suffers a cardiac arrest.
Program Structure
The EFR Instructor Course takes 1 day at the Frog Dive shop.
Your role as an EFR Instructor is to be a coach that creates a positive learning environment. Along with learning how to structure and organize EFR courses, you practice:
- Presenting course content.
- Encouraging self-discovery in students.
- Evaluating student understanding and skill mastery during hands-on skills practice.
- Managing effective scenario-based learning experiences.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have completed a recognized training in adult and child/infant CPR and first aid within the past 2 years
- Current Medical Certificate Required (no more than 12 months old)
